CELAJE — Privacy Policy

CELAJE is a home-screen weather, clock and tide widget for Android, published by LYLID (Lylid Labs OÜ). This policy explains exactly what the app does with data. It is written to match the app's actual behaviour, not boilerplate.

Summary

• No account, no sign-in, no ads, no analytics, no tracking, no telemetry.
• The developer (LYLID) runs no server and receives no data from the app.
• The app has no access to your device location (no location permission).
• Your settings stay on your device.
• To show weather, the app sends the coordinates of the place you chose to the weather provider (Open-Meteo). To search for a place by name, it sends the text you type to a geocoding service (Open-Meteo and, as a fallback, OpenStreetMap/Nominatim). Nothing else is sent.

What is stored on your device

The app saves your preferences locally (Android private storage) and never sends them anywhere:

• The places you add (their names and coordinates), and which one is active
• Units (temperature, wind, precipitation), forecast length, theme, clock format, opacity, refresh interval, and the last fetched forecast (cached so the widget shows something instantly)

This data is removed when you remove the widget or uninstall the app.

Device location

CELAJE does not request or use the Android location permission. It never reads GPS or network location. A "place" is only the city name or coordinates you type in yourself; the app has no other way of knowing where you are.

Network requests and third parties

To function, the app makes requests to the following services. Requests are made directly from your device; they are not routed through any LYLID server.

1. Open-Meteo (api.open-meteo.com, geocoding-api.open-meteo.com, marine-api.open-meteo.com) — weather, wave and place-search data. The app sends the chosen place's latitude/longitude (for weather/waves) or the text you type (for search). No account or identifier is sent. Privacy policy: https://open-meteo.com/en/terms
2. OpenStreetMap / Nominatim (nominatim.openstreetmap.org) — used only as a fallback for place search when Open-Meteo has no result. The app sends the text you type. Privacy policy: https://osmfoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy
3. WorldTides (worldtides.info) — only if you choose it as the tide source and enter your own API key. The app sends the chosen place's coordinates to fetch tide predictions. Off by default (the app uses an on-device tide model instead). Privacy policy: https://www.worldtides.info/privacy

As with any internet request, these services necessarily receive your device's IP address and a generic app User-Agent string. This is inherent to HTTP and is handled by those third parties under their own policies. CELAJE sends no name, email, account, advertising ID, or device identifier.

The default tide model, moon, sun and planet positions, and the star map are computed on your device from bundled data and require no network request.

Data the developer collects

None. LYLID operates no backend for this app, has no database, and receives no information about you or your use of the app.

Children

CELAJE is a general-audience utility. It collects no personal data and is suitable for all ages.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at the same URL with a new "Last updated" date.
