Data Collection and Usage
At LYLID Labs, we value your privacy and strive to protect your personal information in compliance with applicable data protection laws. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, store and protect your personal information.
This Privacy Policy outlines our commitment to protecting your privacy and handling your data in an open and transparent manner.
Our primary clients and partners at LYLID Labs are generally legal entities, therefore, we do not process the personal data of individuals in the course of business. We collect the data of legal entity clients and partners for the fulfillment of contracts, provision of requested services, or for contact purposes.
We ensure the security of data carriers entrusted to us for processing based on the authorization of our clients, preventing unauthorized access to data and the possibilities of their misuse. We continuously improve our security measures in information systems to ensure continuous and comprehensive fulfillment of these obligations.
We serve as the authorized data processor for our media and IT service clients, who directly process the personal data of their clients. We guarantee, in addition to the data protection requirements arising from the legal acts, also additional security measures arising from our mutual agreements for the comprehensive secure storage and processing of data. The data we process in this context are typically de-personalized – data that we cannot directly associate with specific individuals.
We share our client data to the extent necessary for the provision of a specific service and/or fulfillment of a contract (e.g., mail and courier service providers, debt collection service providers, security service providers, banks in facilitating e-invoices) and for the fulfillment of obligations arising from legal acts (law enforcement agencies, authorities).
Currently, we process our clients' and partners' data only within the European Union or the European Economic Area. If the specifics of the service provided to the customer necessitate the processing of data also in third countries, the basis for data processing in such a case is the customer's consent, and the implementation of data protection measures compliant with the EU General Data Protection Regulation is ensured.
We process customer data based on the principles of purposefulness and minimality for as long and to the extent necessary for the fulfillment of customer contracts.
Data Protection and Security
LYLID Labs implements appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect the privacy of customer data, ensuring through the support of appropriate business processes and information systems the accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized access, and disclosure of data.
We process personal data in a manner that ensures appropriate security, including protection against unauthorised or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction or damage, using appropriate technical or organisational measures.
We use the IP address of our visitors only to determine the country of their location. We store only the country information and do not store the IP addresses themselves. This information is used to help us understand our user base and to improve the quality of our service.

About Us
LYLID Labs, pronounced "Lie-lid", was registered on December 23, 2016. The company's founder, , brings a wealth of experience from the media and data handling sectors, focusing on the development of innovative and flexible systems that can scale horizontally, thereby redefining traditional enterprise limitations.
Key began his journey in the field of streaming with VoIP twenty years ago. Seventeen years ago, he transitioned to Digital Video Broadcasting and A/V streaming world. For a decade, he was part of the team at Levira, a DVB-T/DVB-T2 provider in Estonia. Here, he was responsible for the development of multiple DVB HeadEnds, a comprehensive statistics and monitoring solution, and HbbTV streaming servers.
Key continued his journey at Postimees Grupp AS, where he played a pivotal role in developing a comprehensive Content Delivery Network (CDN) software. This included the creation of offload load-balancers, Live Edge nodes, OnDemand Edge nodes, and distributed cache servers based on the principle of consistent hashing. One key feature of this CDN is the implementation of an AES-encrypted token for each user session, ensuring a high level of security. Both the cache and VOD storage servers on the backend are designed to scale horizontally, enabling increased capacity through the addition of servers rather than expanding existing ones. In addition, he designed a Live recording system supporting multiple video profiles with I-frame alignment, a real-time pre, mid, and post-roll splicer for Podcasts, and a high-performance Manifest manipulator for HLS and Dash.
In his stint with Broadpeak as the EMEA Pre-Sales Manager, Key demonstrated Broadpeak solutions to customers, collaborated with internal teams, and oversaw post-sales activities as a Technical Account Manager.
Key's proficiency extends to a multitude of programming languages, including C, LUA, GoLang, JavaScript, and Perl. He employs these skills to create custom scalable solutions that effectively meet the needs of his clients.
At LYLID Labs, Key channels his knowledge and experience into every project, ensuring the delivery of services that stand at the forefront of technological advancement in media and data handling.
